SUMMER MEAL PROGRAM

Nonprofits, School District Team Up to Expand Summer Meal Program

SUMMER PROGRAM

Summertime is an exciting time for many families; for others, it brings increased grocery and childcare costs that leave many low-income families in financial crisis.

North Valley Food Bank, Whitefish School District, and Farm Hands-Nourish the Flathead team up each summer to bring free lunch to kids in Columbia Falls, Hungry Horse, Martin City and Coram.

Lunches are served Monday-Friday during summer break.

  • 11:00 am-1:00 pm at Horine Park in Columbia Falls,
  • 12:00-12:30pm at Boys and Girls Club in Columbia Falls,
  • 11:50 am-12:20 pm at Martin City Fire Hall,
  • 12:30-1:00 pm at Canyon Community Church in Coram.
  • Lunch is served at the Canyon School in Hungry Horse on Fridays from 11:15-11:45 am.

Together, we can take action against hunger!

North Valley Food Bank distributes emergency food to our neighbors in need. We serve individuals experiencing temporary and chronic hunger from Eureka all the way to Browning. We serve over 400 individuals a week through our pantry; supplement Eureka, Browning, Salvation Army-Kalispell food distribution, and serve over 500 meals to children each week through our Summer Meal Program.
